London CRN is funded both through core and project income from a combination of the organisations listed below:

  • CRED Programme (Big Lottery Fund)

 


London Councils is committed to fighting for more resources for London and getting the best possible deal for London’s 33 councils.  The ALG fund London CRN's support, promotion, development and information services provided to new and existing members.

The Bridge House Trust makes grants in excess of £16 million a year to charitable projects benefiting the inhabitants of Greater London.  The grant provided by the Trust enables London CRN to continue providing core services to members; the provision of information, support, representation and promotion.

The London Recycling Fund is a £50 million fund that aims to help London Boroughs and waste authorities recycle more household waste through improving arrangements for recycling in London. The Fund operates through a joint initiative between the Mayor of London and the Greater London Authority (GLA), the Association of London Government (ALG) and London Waste Action. Project funded by the Fund is the Compost Network (North London).

The London Development Agency: the Mayor's agency for business and jobs. The LDA prepares the Mayor's business plan for London and mobilises the support and resources of hundreds of partner organisations to help build a thriving economy for London's people, businesses and communities. The LDA is dedicated to improving sustainability, health and equality of opportunity for Londoners. The LDA fund 'enhance' - the London business support service.

The Western Riverside Environmental Fund has been initiated by the Western Riverside Waste Authority (WRWA), to use Landfill Tax credits arising from household rubbish and other waste handled by the Authority's waste transfer station.  The Compost Network (WREF boroughs) is funded by the Western Riverside Environment Fund.

The Community Recycling and Economic Development (CRED) Programme(now closed), managed by the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT) and nine consortium partners, distributed National Lottery money on behalf of the Big Lottery Fund under its Transforming Waste funding programme. 


BIG hands out half the good causes money from the National Lottery.  The London Furniture Reuse Network is funded through CRED and the Big Lottery Fund.
