LCRN Blog: Recycling Bins around the world
One of our favourite websites, Treehugger, has done a feature on recycling bins around the world.
On a recent holiday to visit a friend in Vienna I took no less than 3 photos of recycling bins on the streets there. By the third my friends were ready to disown me!
It's wonderful to know there are other people out there who share an interest in the way other countries do it. Unfortunately the UK - and London in particular - does not fare well.
What I enjoyed is trying to spot where these recycling bins reside... in my experience most recycling areas are out of the way and definitely not part of the streetside infrastructure. However in Japan they have recycling on the train platform! This is very exciting to me, but what do I know, I take photos of bins on my holidays.
