Kingston Community Furniture

KVA is the umbrella body for voluntary organisations and community groups in the RB of Kingston Upon Thames. It supports the on-going development of the voluntary sector through capacity building, fundraising support and the effective exchange of information. Kingston Community Furniture has been set up by KVA to reduce used furniture going to landfill by collecting, storing and re-distributing furniture to low-income groups.

Kingston Voluntary Action

Kingston Voluntary Action was established in 1968 and is an independent,
registered charity.

We are the local development agency and umbrella organisation for voluntary and community
groups operating in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.

We are part of a national network of Councils for Voluntary Service (CVS), of which there are
over 230 throughout England, usually covering boroughs or districts.

Although we are called different names - Voluntary Service Council, Voluntary Action,
Centre for Voluntary Service, we all have the same aims and objectives:

Kingston Waste Partnership Programme

Kingston Waste Partnership Programme is a not-for-profit Social Enterprise dedicated to reducing the production and destruction of waste. The partnership includes the local community, borough council, businesses, and the voluntary sector. We aim to provide local community capacity building projects, the provision of information and training, the streamlining of re-claimed goods to deprived groups, and the supply of re-used art and DIY materials to schools, non-profit organisations, and individuals.
