Our aims and objectives are to: ? relieve poverty by collecting donations of furniture in good condition from the general public and making it available to people in need at minimal cost ? encourage re-use and refurbishment of furniture and household goods thus reducing the amount of materials going into landfill. ? promote awareness of waste reduction by involving more of the community in the process of reuse. ? improve the quality of the natural environment and promote a healthy living environment by: a)encouraging those that throw things out to donate to those that are in a low income group and in need. b) assisting youth groups to refurbish and reuse furniture. ? protect and improve the natural environment by reducing the use of primary materials (eg wood). We do this by employing self-employed carriers to collect and deliver furniture and household goods. We store the collected items in our warehouses for people to come and view and purchase them.
