Advanced Master Composter Training Event Update

Composting in London

Inner-city gardeners are being encouraged to get composting by the London CRN Compost Network.  The Master Composter programme began in September 2004 and has trained over 100 Master Composters so far.

Master Composters are volunteers who are provided with training by London CRN so that they are able to answer questions from residents on all aspects of composting – from choosing the most suitable bin to what to do with your compost at the end, and everything in between.

Research has shown that roughly 40% of householders that buy a compost bin “drop out” because of a lack of advice on how to compost successfully. The Compost Network address this problem by ensuring that support is available to home composters from the moment they receive their new compost bin through the campaign.
