REalliance Community Interest Company
LCRN played a leading role in the formation of REalliance CIC, a partnership with Community Recycling Network (CRN), Community Composting Network (CCN), and Furniture Reuse Network (FRN). The company was formed to benefit third sector groups working in waste reduction, reuse, composting and recycling and the people living in the areas that these groups serve. REalliance has succeeded in aligning the working practices of its partners, securing £5 million for the sector and demonstrating leadership in the third sector with respect to resource efficiency.
REalliance is WRAP's delivery partner in its Third Sector Capacity Building Programme, and LCRN is a key part of that delivery. Since its launch in June 2008, the programme has served over 80 of the 400 organisations who have approached REalliance for help. In London, REalliance has worked to support the growth and development of Greenworks, Aardvark, Croydon Appliance Reuse Centre and the London Reuse Network. Nationally, REalliance has enabled the development of FRN Enterprise, the National Association of Wood Recycling Projects, ReIY Building Materials Centres and many more local organisations.
