Funding: Kingston upon Thames - Small Grants
The Small Grants scheme is provided and administered annually by the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. Funding is intended to assist voluntary organisations whose activities and projects meet one or more of the Council's priorities and directly benefit the local community.
The 2012-13 grants programme has been revised to reflect more closely the vision for 2020 set out in the Kingston Plan and Destination Kingston, which is based on the principles of prevention, personalisation, choice and control, local settings, working with partners and customer first.
To be eligible, applicants must:
Be a voluntary organisation based and working in Kingston upon Thames for the benefit of borough residents.
Have a constitution or set of rules setting out the organisation’s aims and objectives.
Have a management committee or equivalent of at least three members.
Have a bank or building society account in the name of the organisation with at least two unrelated signatories.
Have an accounting system such as annual accounts to record income and expenditure.
Have, if relevant, Child Protection procedures in place, including Criminal Record Bureau checks on staff and volunteers.
