BioRegional is looking for six Sustainability Ambassadors to work in the Athletes Village at The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This is a once in a life time opportunity to be part of the greatest show on earth, communicating with world class athletes from around the world in the heart of the Olympic Park. We need enthusiastic, positive and bubbly individuals with strong oral communication skills to inform and inspire international athletes about sustainability at London 2012. Applicants with a genuine passion for sustainability and conversational language skills (French, Spanish, Mandarin, Russian, and others) are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants must be over the age of 18 and meet security requirements. Successful applicants must be available for the entire duration of the contract, must be available towork at weekends and in the evenings, and must be flexible regarding the shift patterns worked. It is anticipated that there will be two shifts daily (9am to 4pm) and (3pm to 10pm). The most likely shift pattern is working rotating shifts with every third day off (eg Day 1am, Day 2pm and Day 3 off). Ambassadors are anticipated to work between 140 and 180 hours in total. This is a temporary position for the duration of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, from 27th July to 12th August and from 29th August to 9th September 2012. All applicants will also need to attend 2 days of compulsory training in advance of the Games. Remuneration will be £10/hour, plus other benefits, (including paid training, uniform and meals). No cover letter is required. Interviews will be held in London on 2nd or 3rd March. Please indicate on your application which day would be preferable.
